TalentFinds Day 2026: Celebrating the People Who Make Work Better

At coLeague, we declared February 15th TalentFinds Day! We created it to intentionally recognize something that often gets overlooked in our day-to-day: the people who truly change the trajectory of our teams. A TalentFind is more than a solid hire. It’s the person who elevated the standard, strengthened the culture, brought clarity in moments of uncertainty, or simply made everyone around them better. Everybody knows someone who fits that description, and we should name the impact they’ve made in the workplace.

TalentFinds Day is an opportunity to pause and be specific about that impact. Who shifted what felt possible for your team? Who blew expectations out of the water? Who consistently shows up in ways that matter? Take a few minutes to tell them… and tell other people! Recognition is not just a nice gesture. It reinforces the behaviors and values that shape strong organizations. TalentFinds Day may have been few days ago, but it’s never too late to shout out those true gems.

Client Spotlight: Flexible, Responsive Partnership

Tyton Partners recently shared how much they valued working with coLeague:

“We couldn't be more satisfied with our coLeague experience. We felt like we had a real partner in identifying an exceptional fractional Chief People Officer… When we needed seasoned judgment, we got it. When we needed tactical execution, we got it. When we needed flexibility because of unforeseen circumstances, we got it. We would highly recommend coLeague to other small businesses in need of Talent, HR, and People Support.”

Tyton Partners worked with coLeaguer Katherine Martin to address organizational Talent needs, and was able to pivot to more strategic support for a big internal change when the need arose.  Katherine’s expertise, combined with coLeague’s embedded approach, highlights what a true partnership can look like - flexibility, thought partnership for leaders, and as always, a truly equity-centric perspective on everything.

From Sarah: Employee Relations is on Our Mind

If you follow us on LinkedIn, you’ve probably seen some recent posts about Employee Relations and Investigations. This started because we’re supporting a client with a heavy ER caseload, but also because I had an eye-opening experience this summer when a friend, a leader at a national corporation, was informed an investigation had been conducted about them without their knowledge. They were only informed once the company had come to conclusions as a result of the investigation, but it turned out they had not interviewed anyone on this person’s team, let alone the actual subject of the investigation. Even one interview with someone from their team would’ve produced clear evidence that the complaint was unfounded, but it seems the investigating body was operating with a biased approach and was seeking confirmation rather than comprehensive information.

This “investigation” and its outcomes led to this long-serving executive getting a “final warning” in their record, essentially setting the stage for dismissal at any time, for any reason. Not only is this unfair (and potentially career-altering) to this leader, but it is also setting a dangerous precedent for the organization and sends a message that this could happy to anyone at any time.

This led me to do some research, and it seems Employee Relations is the final frontier for systematized people-centricity in HR. Over the last few weeks, I’ve interviewed many ER pros who have a strong people-centric approach, but haven’t yet heard of any organizations that have systemically put this into practice. If you are lucky enough to work with someone who employs this approach (like several of our clients right now!), your team can expect more process transparency, more psychologically safe approaches, and more focus on repair and even restorative justice.

When investigations aren’t treated with care, they can feel unsafe, haphazard, or even traumatic. At coLeague, we are working on an ER/Investigations service that aligns with our shared values. As we’re doing more research and development, we’d love to hear from you about what people-centric Employee Relations and Workplace Investigations looks like to you.
