why we do it

Your people expect, and deserve, a workplace that is investing in the needs of the whole person.  They are no longer interested in sacrificing wellbeing for promises of a better tomorrow. Healthy workplaces must meaningfully support collective and individual wellbeing, and invest in the needs of the whole person.

We have seen how embedded support invests in a way that honors your people. You need someone that brings the great ideas, and then rolls up their sleeves to implement those ideas. That is where coLeague comes in. Our name emphasizes co- because we co-design, co-plan, co-work with you.

Successful organizations are tackling this shift head-on, taking major steps to design their systems around their people—and reaping the rewards. But for most, this new reality is uncharted territory. While the vision for a healthy people-centered workplace may exist, the path is unclear.

After years of working in the talent space, both as Chief People Officers and as consultants and advisors, we kept seeing the same trends. Organizations were strapped for capacity. Some were too small to hire a CPO, some were going through talent transitions, and some were about to hire their first CPO.

In all cases, we saw organizations paralyzed when it came time to think about their long-term talent strategy. They needed extra hands and insight to be able to build and implement the systems and structures that would support the culture they were trying to achieve.

Meet coLeague’s founder, Lora

Lora Cover is the founder of coLeague. She has over 25 years of talent experience, spending most of her career sitting on the operational side. For over a decade she worked at Teach For America, recruiting teachers and then building a human assets team for the organization, ultimately leading the People and Talent work there.
